šŸ” Detailed Step-by-Step Process

Posting Job: €0 Charged

When you post a job on ReciGo:

  • āœ… Create the listing for free
  • āœ… Nearby helpers are notified
  • āœ… Receive offers with no commitment
  • āŒ Your card is not touched

Status in your bank: No movements

Accepting Helper: Pre-authorization

When you accept a helper (or their offer):

What is a pre-authorization?

It's a temporary hold of money on your card:

  1. The bank "freezes" the amount
  2. It doesn't leave your account yet
  3. Reduces your available credit
  4. Lasts up to 7 days (if not captured)

Visual example in your banking app

šŸ’³ Your available balance: €1,000
šŸ“Œ ReciGo hold: -€51.49
──────────────────────────────
šŸ’° Available balance: €948.51
šŸ’Ž Actual balance: €1,000 (unchanged)

In your bank statement you'll see

Common format:

[PENDING] ReciGo - €51.49

Variations by bank:

  • "Pending authorization"
  • "Temporary charge"
  • "Pre-authorization"
  • "Hold"

During the Job: Active Hold

While the helper performs the work:

  • ā³ Money remains held
  • šŸ”’ You can't use that amount for other purchases
  • šŸ“± You can see real-time status in ReciGo
  • ā±ļø Typical duration: 1-3 hours

Job phases:

  1. Accepted → Pre-authorization created
  2. On the way → Hold active
  3. Picked up → Hold active
  4. Delivered → Hold active
  5. Completed → Payment captured āœ…

Completing Job: Payment Capture

When the helper marks the job as completed:

Automatic process

  1. ReciGo validates proof photos exist
  2. Pre-authorization is captured
  3. Charge becomes effective
  4. Money leaves your account
  5. Transferred to helper (price - commission)
  6. ReciGo collects its fee

Example of transfers

For a job of €50 + €1.49 service fee = €51.49 total:

Your card: -€51.49 (effective charge)
   ↓
ReciGo: €51.49 (receives payment)
   ↓
   ā”œā”€ā†’ Helper: €42.50 (their part: €50 - 15%)
   └─→ ReciGo: €8.99 (fee + commission)

In your bank statement
