Accepted Payment Methods

ReciGo accepts several secure payment methods so you can complete your jobs quickly and safely. This guide explains all available options and how they work.

ReciGo accepts major credit and debit cards:

Credit Cards

  • Visa (all variants)
  • Mastercard (including Maestro)
  • American Express

Debit Cards

  • Visa Debit
  • Mastercard Debit
  • Maestro

šŸ“± Mobile Payments

Apple Pay

If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can pay with Apple Pay:

  1. Add your card to Apple Wallet
  2. In ReciGo, select Apple Pay as payment method
  3. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or passcode
  4. āœ… Payment completed in seconds

Requirements:

  • iOS 13 or higher
  • Compatible card added to Wallet
  • Face ID, Touch ID or passcode configured

Google Pay

For Android users:

  1. Set up Google Pay on your device
  2. Add your bank card
  3. In ReciGo, select Google Pay
  4. Confirm with fingerprint, Face Unlock or PIN
  5. āœ… Payment processed

Requirements:

  • Android 7.0 or higher
  • Google Pay configured
  • Secure unlock method active

ļæ½ Bizum

If you have a verified Spanish phone number (+34), you can pay with Bizum directly from the app.

How It Works

  1. Your phone number must be verified in ReciGo
  2. It must be a Spanish number (+34) with Bizum activated at your bank
  3. When paying, select Bizum as your payment method
  4. You'll receive a Request To Pay (RTP) in your banking app
  5. Confirm the payment in your banking app
  6. āœ… Payment processed

Requirements

  • Verified Spanish phone number (+34) in ReciGo
  • Bizum activated at your bank
  • Banking app installed and up to date

If Bizum Payment Fails

  • Check that you have Bizum activated at your bank
  • Make sure to confirm the request in your banking app before it expires (90 seconds)
  • If it fails, you can use your saved card as a fallback

3D Secure (Additional Verification)

All payments in ReciGo are protected with 3D Secure 2.0:

What is 3D Secure?

It's an additional security layer that verifies you're the one making the payment:

  1. You enter your card details
  2. Your bank asks for confirmation:
    • SMS with code
    • Push notification in bank app
    • Fingerprint
    • Online banking code
  3. You confirm identity
  4. Payment authorized

Commercial Names

Depending on your bank, you'll see:

  • Visa: "Verified by Visa"
  • Mastercard: "Mastercard SecureCode" or "Identity Check"
  • American Express: "SafeKey"

Encryption and Protection

  • šŸ” SSL/TLS encryption: All data travels encrypted
  • šŸ›”ļø PCI DSS Level 1: Highest security standard
  • šŸ¦ Processor: Stripe (global leader in online payments)
  • 🚫 We never store: Your CVV or security code
  • šŸ”’ Tokenization: Your card number is converted to a secure token

šŸ’¾ Saving Payment Methods

Why Save Your Card?

Saving your card in ReciGo allows you to:

  • āœ… Pay faster on future jobs
  • āœ… No need to enter details each time
  • āœ… Avoid typing errors
  • āœ… Process pre-authorizations automatically

How to Save a Card

  1. Go to Account → Payment methods
  2. Tap + Add card
  3. Enter:
    • Card number (16 digits)
    • Expiration date
    • CVV (3-4 digits on back)
    • Cardholder name
  4. Tap Save
  5. Complete 3D Secure verification
  6. āœ… Card saved

Managing Saved Cards

In Account → Payment methods you can:

  • View your cards: Only last 4 digits shown
  • Set default: Will be used by default
  • Update expiration: If your bank renews the card
  • Delete card: Deleted immediately

Multiple Cards

You can have several saved cards:

  • Up to 5 cards per account
  • Choose which to use for each payment
  • Mark one as default
  • Switch between them easily

🚫 Methods NOT Accepted

Currently ReciGo does not accept:

  • āŒ Bank transfers
  • āŒ PayPal
  • āŒ Cash
  • āŒ Cryptocurrencies
  • āŒ Direct debit
  • āŒ Cash on delivery

šŸ’° Payment Process Explained

Pre-authorization (when accepting helper)

When you accept a helper:

  1. ReciGo holds the money on your card
  2. It's not charged yet (it's a hold)
  3. Money is "frozen"
  4. Lasts up to 7 days maximum

In your statement you'll see:

PENDING: ReciGo - €51.49

Capture (when completing job)

When the helper marks the job as completed:

  1. ReciGo captures the payment
  2. Charge becomes effective
  3. Hold converts to real charge
  4. Helper receives their part (€42.50)
  5. ReciGo collects fee (€8.99)

In your statement you'll see:

CHARGED: ReciGo - €51.49

Pre-authorization Cancellation

If you cancel before completion:

  1. Hold is released
  2. Money becomes available again
  3. You're not charged anything
  4. Takes 1-5 business days to reflect

šŸ”„ Card Renewal

What happens if my card expires?

  1. 7 days before: You receive push notification
  2. 3 days before: Email reminder
  3. On the day: Card is marked as "expired"
  4. After: You can't post jobs until updated

How to Update an Expired Card

Option A: Update details

  1. Go to Payment methods
  2. Tap the expired card
  3. Update expiration date
  4. Confirm with 3D Secure

Option B: Add new card

  1. Add new card (same number, new date)
  2. Delete old card
  3. Mark new one as default

šŸ’ø Payment Limits

Per Transaction

  • Minimum: €5.00
  • Maximum: €2,000.00

Daily

  • Maximum: €5,000.00 per day
  • Resets at 00:00 CET

For jobs >€2,000:

  2. Explain your case
  3. We can temporarily increase the limit

ā“ Common Problems

šŸŒ International Payments

Foreign Cards

You can use cards from other countries:

  • āœ… International Visa, Mastercard, Amex
  • āš ļø Your bank may charge currency exchange fee
  • āš ļø Conversion is done by your bank (not ReciGo)
  • āœ… Charge is always in euros (€)

Example with USA Card

If you pay €50 with USD card:

  1. ReciGo charges: €50.00
  2. Your bank converts: ~$54.00 (depending on exchange rate)
  3. Your bank may add: ~$1.62 (3% international fee)
  4. Total on your statement: ~$55.62

āœ… Best Practices

To Avoid Problems

  1. Before posting job:

    • Check your card isn't expired
    • Make sure you have sufficient funds
    • Verify you can receive SMS (for 3D Secure)
  2. When saving card:

    • Use a card you use regularly
    • Double-check details before saving
    • Complete 3D Secure verification correctly
  3. If traveling:

    • Notify your bank (avoid fraud blocks)
    • Have a backup card saved
    • Bring your phone (for verifications)
