How to Change App Language

ReciGo is available in English and Spanish. You can change the language at any time from the app settings.

  • 🇬🇧 English (International)
  • 🇪🇸 Español (Spain)

📱 Change Language in App

Step by Step

  1. Open the ReciGo app
  2. Tap "Account" in the bottom bar
  3. Tap "Settings" (gear icon ⚙️)
  4. Tap "Language"
  5. Select your preferred language:
    • 🇬🇧 English
    • 🇪🇸 Español
  6. The app updates immediately

No need to restart the app or log out.

  • Chat messages between users (each person writes in their language)

💬 Communication Between Languages

What if I speak English and the helper speaks Spanish?

The chat works normally. Each person writes in their preferred language.

Options:

  1. Use external translator (Google Translate, DeepL)
  2. Write in basic Spanish if you can
  3. Look for helpers who speak English (many profiles indicate this)

🌐 Web Browser Language

If you use ReciGo from a browser (help.recigo.es):

  1. The language is automatically detected from your browser
  2. You can change it using the selector in the top right corner
  3. Your preference is saved in cookies

📧 Email and Notification Language

Automatic Emails

System emails are sent in the language configured in your app:

  • Job confirmations
  • Payment reminders
  • Rating notifications
  • Important updates

Change Email Language

The email language changes automatically when you change the app language. There's no separate setting.

🔔 Push Notifications

Notifications on your phone appear in the configured language:

English:

"New job near you!"
"María accepted your job"
"Payment received: €45.00"

Español:

"¡Nuevo trabajo cerca de ti!"
"María ha aceptado tu trabajo"
"Pago recibido: 45,00 €"

🛠️ Troubleshooting

Language Doesn't Change

  1. Close and reopen the app
  2. Update the app to the latest version
  3. Clear cache (Phone Settings → Apps → ReciGo → Clear cache)
  4. If it persists, contact support

Some Text Remains in Another Language

This is normal if they are:

  • Messages from other users
  • Job descriptions
  • Comments and ratings

Only the system interface is translated.

The App Is in Spanish and I Can't Change It

If you can't find the language option:

  1. Ve a CuentaConfiguración
  2. Toca "Idioma"
  3. Selecciona "English"

Or reinstall the app and select English on the first screen.
