Configure Notifications in ReciGo
Notifications keep you informed about your jobs, messages, and activity on ReciGo. This guide explains how to customize them according to your preferences.

For Customers
Critical (recommended to enable):

In the App
- Open ReciGo
- Go to Account â Settings
- Tap "Notifications"
- You'll see notification categories
- Enable/disable each type as you prefer
Configuration by Category
Jobs:
- New jobs available
- Changes to active jobs
- Completed jobs
Messages:
- New chat messages
- Replies to your messages
Payments:
- Payments received
- Pending payments
- Payment problems
Account:
- Changes to your account
- Pending verifications
- Important updates
Marketing (optional):
- Offers and promotions
- Tips and tricks
- ReciGo news
Recommendation: Keep critical and message notifications enabled. You can disable marketing ones if you prefer fewer interruptions.
đ Customize Sounds and Alerts
iOS
From the ReciGo app:
- Settings â Notifications
- Tap "Notification sound"
- Choose from:
- Default sound
- Silent
- Custom sounds
From iOS Settings:
- Settings â Notifications â ReciGo
- Customize:
- Sounds: Enable/disable
- Badges: Number on app icon
- Banners: How notifications appear
- Lock screen: Show/hide
Banner options:
- Temporary: Appears and disappears automatically
- Persistent: Stays until you close it
- None: Only in notification center
Android
From the ReciGo app:
- Settings â Notifications
- Tap each category to customize:
- Sound
- Vibration
- LED light (if your phone has it)
From Android Settings:
- Settings â Apps â ReciGo
- Notifications
- Customize each channel:
- Jobs: Loud sound, vibration
- Messages: Medium sound, vibration
- Payments: Medium sound
- Marketing: Silent or disable
Notification importance:
- Urgent: Loud sound, appears on screen
- High: Normal sound
- Medium: Low sound, no vibration
- Low: Silent, only in tray
đ Do Not Disturb / Schedules
Silent Mode
If you don't want notifications at certain times:
Option 1: Temporarily disable
- Settings â Notifications
- Enable "Pause notifications"
- Choose duration:
- 1 hour
- 4 hours
- Until tomorrow
- Until I disable it
Option 2: Quiet hours
- Settings â Notifications
- Tap "Quiet hours"
- Configure:
- Start time (e.g., 10:00 PM)
- End time (e.g., 8:00 AM)
- Days of the week
Exceptions: You can allow critical notifications even in silent mode:
- Messages from active jobs
- Urgent cancellations
- Payment problems
đą Lock Screen Notifications
iOS
Show content:
- Settings â Notifications â ReciGo
- Tap "Show previews"
- Choose:
- Always: Shows full message
- When unlocked: Only if unlocked with Face ID/Touch ID
- Never: Only shows "ReciGo Notification"
Privacy recommendation:
- Choose "When unlocked" so others can't read your messages
Android
- Settings â Apps â ReciGo â Notifications
- Tap each category
- Enable/disable "Sensitive content"
Privacy:
- Disable "Sensitive content" to hide details on lock screen
đ§ Email Notifications
In addition to push notifications, ReciGo sends emails for:
Always sent:
- Registration confirmation
- Password changes
- Email verification
- Weekly activity summary
Optional (you can disable):
- New jobs in your area (helpers)
- Offers and promotions
- Monthly newsletter
- Tips and tricks
Configure Emails
- Settings â Notifications
- Scroll to "Email notifications"
- Enable/disable each type
You cannot disable:
- Security emails (password change, etc.)
- Legal emails (terms changes, etc.)
- Transactional emails (payment confirmations, etc.)
đ Disable All Notifications
Temporarily
From the app:
- Settings â Notifications
- Disable the main toggle "Enable notifications"
From phone:
- iOS: Settings â Notifications â ReciGo â Disable "Allow Notifications"
- Android: Settings â Apps â ReciGo â Notifications â Disable all
Warning: If you disable all notifications:
- You won't know when messages are sent
- You'll miss jobs (helpers)
- You won't see important updates
Only recommended if you're not actively using the app.
Permanently
If you no longer want to use ReciGo:

Not Receiving Notifications
Step 1: Check permissions
- iOS: Settings â Notifications â ReciGo â "Allow Notifications" enabled
- Android: Settings â Apps â ReciGo â Notifications â Enabled
Step 2: Check app settings
- ReciGo â Settings â Notifications â Enabled
Step 3: Check connection
- Push notifications require internet
- Try with WiFi and mobile data
Step 4: Restart the app
- Close ReciGo completely
- Reopen it
Step 5: Update the app
- Go to App Store / Google Play
- Update to latest version
Step 6: Reinstall the app (last resort)
- Uninstall ReciGo
- Reinstall from store
- Log in again
Receiving Too Many Notifications
- Settings â Notifications
- Disable optional categories:
- Marketing
- Tips and tricks
- Promotions
- Keep only critical ones enabled
Notifications Arriving Late
Common causes:
- Battery saver enabled (Android)
- Solution: Exclude ReciGo from battery optimization
- Background data disabled
- Solution: Allow background data for ReciGo
- Unstable connection
- Solution: Check your WiFi/mobile data
Android - Exclude from battery optimization:
- Settings â Battery â Battery optimization
- Find ReciGo
- Select "Don't optimize"
Sound Doesn't Work
iOS:
- Check phone isn't on silent (side switch)
- Settings â Sounds & Haptics â Ringer volume
- Settings â Notifications â ReciGo â Sounds enabled
Android:
- Check notification volume is high
- Settings â Sound â Notification volume
- Settings â Apps â ReciGo â Notifications â Sound enabled
