How to post a job step-by-step

Posting a job on ReciGo is quick and easy. This guide explains the complete process so you can have your first job posted in less than 60 seconds.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • Clear photos of the items you want to move or recycle
  • Pickup and delivery addresses
  • An idea of the price you want to offer
  • A payment method saved in your account

Step 1: Upload photos of your items

  1. Open the ReciGo app and tap the + button in the center tab
  2. Select the job type:
    • 🚚 Move & Deliver: To transport items from point A to point B
    • ♻️ Pick up & Recycle: To take items to a recycling center
    • 🗑️ Dispose: To throw waste at a landfill
  3. Tap Add photo to open camera or gallery
  4. Upload 1-6 clear photos of your items

Tips for taking good photos

  • Use good natural lighting
  • Show the item from multiple angles
  • Include context for size (e.g., a person next to it)
  • Avoid blurry or very dark photos

Step 2: Set pickup location

  1. The app will automatically detect your current location
  2. You can adjust the pin on the map by dragging it
  3. Or search for a specific address using the search bar
  4. Add important details:
    • Floor number
    • Elevator availability
    • Building code
    • Access instructions

Step 3: Set delivery location

Only for "Move & Deliver" jobs

  1. Mark on the map where you want the items delivered
  2. Add destination details:
    • Floor and elevator
    • Preferred delivery time
    • Contact at destination (optional)

Step 4: Job details

Complete information about your items:

  • Category: electronics, metal, paper, glass, plastic, other
  • Size: S (small), M (medium), L (large), XL (extra large)
  • Estimated weight: Helps helper prepare
  • Volume: Approximate in m³
  • Special requirements: Does it need special care? Is it fragile?

Step 5: Choose when

Select when you want the job done:

  • As soon as possible: Helper can come whenever available
  • Get suggestions: The app shows available time slots for today, tomorrow or a specific date. You can select the slots that work best for you

Tip: "As soon as possible" jobs usually find helpers faster.

Step 6: Set the price

You have two options:

Fixed price

  • You set the final price
  • Helpers accept directly
  • Faster for urgent jobs

Bidding system

  • Helpers send you their proposals
  • You can compare prices and profiles
  • Better for flexible jobs

The app will show you the fee breakdown:

  • Base price
  • Platform fee (clearly displayed)
  • Total to pay

Step 7: Review and publish

  1. Review all details on the summary screen
  2. Verify that your payment method is configured
  3. Tap Publish job
  4. ✅ Done! Your job is published

What happens next?

  1. Notifications to nearby helpers: Helpers in your area will receive a push notification
  2. You'll receive offers: See proposals in your "Jobs" screen
  3. Choose the best helper: Review profiles, ratings and offers
  4. Confirm: When you accept a helper, payment will be pre-authorized
  5. Real-time tracking: You can chat and see their location

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to publish my job?

Your job is published immediately after completing all steps. Nearby helpers will receive a notification within seconds.

Can I edit my job after publishing?

Yes, you can edit your job while it's in "published" status and hasn't been accepted by a helper yet. Once accepted, you can only chat with the helper to agree on changes.

What if I don't receive offers?

If you don't receive offers within 24 hours, we suggest:

  • Increase the offered price
  • Improve the photos
  • Extend the time window
  • Split the job into smaller parts

When is my card charged?

Your card is pre-authorized when you accept a helper, but the actual charge happens when the job is marked as completed. Read more at When is my card charged?

Can I cancel after publishing?

Yes, you can cancel without penalty before a helper accepts. After acceptance, check our Cancellation policy.
