Getting started as a ReciGo helper
Becoming a ReciGo helper is your opportunity to earn extra money with flexible hours. This guide explains everything you need to know to take your first steps.
What is a ReciGo helper?
A helper is a private person with a vehicle who accepts transport, recycling or pick-up jobs posted by customers in the app.

Requirements to be a helper
Mandatory requirements
- Be over 18 years old
- Have a ReciGo account - Create account
- Own vehicle - Car, van, motorcycle (depending on jobs)
- Valid driver's license
- Spanish ID (DNI) or NIE
- Spanish bank account (IBAN)
- Spanish phone number (+34)
Recommended requirements
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance
- Experience loading/transporting objects
- Knowledge of local recycling centers
- Regular availability (at least 10h/week)
Important: ReciGo is NOT an employer. You are self-employed/freelance. ReciGo is only the platform that connects customers and helpers.
Activation process (step by step)
Step 1: Create your account
If you don't have an account yet:
- Download the ReciGo app
- Sign up with email or Apple/Google
- Verify your phone

Step 2: Complete your profile
- Go to Account â Edit profile
- Upload a clear profile photo
- Add your location/work area
- Write a brief description (optional)
Tips for your profile:
- Professional photo (clear face, no sunglasses)
- Friendly description: "Driver with van, specialized in small moves"
- Indicate languages you speak
Step 3: Add vehicle information
- Go to Account â Helper settings
- Tap "Add vehicle"
- Select type:
- đ Small car (back seats)
- đ Medium car (large trunk)
- đ Small van
- đ Large van
- Optional: Upload vehicle photo
What jobs can I accept according to my vehicle?
Step 4: Stripe Connect verification (KYC)
The most important step - without this you CANNOT get paid.
- Go to Account â Helper settings
- Tap "Complete verification"
- You'll be redirected to Stripe Connect
- Provide:
- ID/NIE (clear photo of both sides)
- Date of birth
- Complete address
- IBAN (bank account)
- Phone number
- Wait 1-2 business days for approval
What is Stripe Connect?
Stripe is the payment platform used by ReciGo. KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required by law to prevent fraud and money laundering. Your data is protected with bank-grade encryption.
Verification statuses:
- đĄ Pending - Stripe is reviewing your documents
- đĸ Verified - You can now accept jobs and get paid!
- đ´ Rejected - There's a problem with your documents
If you're rejected:
- Read the reason in the Stripe email
- Fix the problem (blurry photo, incorrect data, etc.)
- Resubmit documentation

Step 5: Activate "Available for jobs"
Once verified:
- Go to Helper settings
- Turn on the "Available for jobs" switch
- Set your search radius (5km - 50km)
- â You'll start receiving job notifications!
How payments work
When you get paid
- Accept job â Customer pre-authorizes payment
- Complete job â Upload proof photo
- Customer confirms â Payment is captured automatically
- ReciGo transfers â Money reaches your Stripe account
- Stripe pays â Transfer to your bank (1-2 days)
ReciGo commission
ReciGo charges a 15% commission on the job price.
Example:
- Job price: âŦ50
- ReciGo commission of 15%)
- You receive: âŦ40
The commission is deducted automatically before the transfer.
Payment schedule
- Capture: When you complete the job
- Transfer to Stripe: Immediate
- Payment to your bank: 1-2 business days
- Frequency: Automatic after each job

Tax obligations
â ī¸ IMPORTANT: As a helper you are self-employed or freelance.
Do I need to register as self-employed?
It depends on your activity:
You DON'T need to if:
- You work occasionally (< 30 jobs/year)
- You earn less than âŦ2,000/year gross
- It's sporadic activity without regularity
You DO need to if:
- You work regularly (several times per week)
- You earn more than âŦ2,000/year
- It's your main or regular secondary activity
Important tax notice
Your income is taxable. ReciGo reports to the Tax Agency if you exceed 30 jobs or âŦ2,000 annually (DAC7 directive).
Consult with a tax advisor if you have doubts about your specific situation.

- "Home" tab - View map with nearby jobs

- Distance (5-50km)
- Minimum price
- Job type

How to accept a job
Option 1: Fixed price
- You see a job you're interested in
- Tap "Accept job"
- Customer confirms you
- â Job assigned
Option 2: Make an offer
- You see a job with "Open to offers"
- Tap "Make offer"
- Indicate your price and availability
- Wait for customer response
- If they accept â Job assigned
Tips for your first jobs
- Start small - Accept simple jobs at first
- Read details carefully - Make sure you understand what needs to be done
- Ask if unsure - Use chat before accepting
- Be punctual - Arrive on time for pickup/delivery
- Communicate - Notify if there's a delay or problem
- Ask for help - Customer should help load if it's heavy
- Take photos - Document everything (pickup, delivery, recycling)

Build your reputation
Rating system
After each job, the customer will rate you:

- Optional comment
Your average rating appears on your profile.

How much can I earn as a helper?
It depends on:

Can I reject jobs?
Yes, you can reject any job without penalty. But:

What happens if I have an accident?
ReciGo does NOT cover vehicle accidents. You must have:
- Vehicle insurance (mandatory)
- Comprehensive insurance (recommended)
- Inform your insurer that you use the car for work
What objects can I NOT transport?
Prohibited materials:
- â Hazardous waste
- â Illegal substances
- â Weapons
- â Live animals (except special agreement)
- â Perishable food without refrigeration

Can I have a helper with me?
Yes, you can take someone with you to help load. But:
- You are legally responsible
- Only you can communicate with the customer in the app
- The rating is yours
- You cannot subcontract jobs
